Dieting - The awkward beginning

For the past three years i have made it my goal to lose weight. Despite making my goal by Gaining muscle in my upper body i still gained 10kg’s… Good job me.

So today monday 26/03/2012 i’ve decided to do something that will change my life and start making this goal to lose weight a reality. I’ve decided that i will start a food diary. i wont count that calories, no but instead i will be focusing on What im eating. I won’t lie about my weight so here i begin.

I am 91kgs, i’ve gone up 4kg’s in the past 3 months alone

My primary goal is to get down 20kg’s over the next two years to a healthy weight of about 70kg’s.

My other goals are to be able to run atleast 3Km’s non stop without sweating

To run a marathon

To look good and feel better about myself

And to go down from Large to atleast medium

So 26/03/2012 is where i begin

Wish me luck

We all knew someone who felt that devastating blow one year ago.

We watched as they mourned their loved ones and for many more mourned our own.

It was a day that rocked a city, it was a day that rocked a nation, it was a day that shook the stability away from many lives.

185 Poor souls departed that day on Tuesday the 22nd of February

Now a year on we celebrate the lives who have passed on.

But in the midst of this sad reminder, we commemorate those who live on and stay strong.

An acknowledgement of the many who continue to live and rebuild their homes and lives.

We celebrate the lives that keep marching on.

A year is not long enough to heal the loss of a loved one,

A year is not long enough to heal the loss of a home,

A year is not long enough to heal a broken city,

But its another year gone that we continue to try.

Too all those greatly affected by this event that has taken so much from you

I praise you on your strength and remind you that you are not alone

There will always be people around to help you with this journey

Stay strong
